Jonathan Hagos (b.1982, Amsterdam)

Jonathan is an Architect, Lecturer and Director of the London based studio Freehaus.
This website forms a showcase of Jonathan's work outside the architectural field, the main polemic of which is the ‘re-illustration’ of post-colonial themes such as freedom, identity and migration. These themes are executed through diverse media such as cartography through to film, full-scale installations and architectural interventions.
Jonathan's work has featured in international design journals, publications, seminars and exhibitions, including 'Freedom of Speech in the City’ in Barcelona, Tokyo Designers Week and London Design Festival.
Jonathan is currently an undergraduate design tutor for design Unit H at Oxford Brookes University and Senior Lecturer at the University of Greenwich at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Levels. Jonathan aslo acts as a visiting critic at various universities in the UK.
